Our Materials
Material Standard
The selection starts with what the material is in its raw state. If a wood, a stone, or a polymer works well without being bleached or painted, those extra steps are omitted. This results in products that are remarkably pure. The surface is meant to record the way you use it by darkening or marking over time. The material isn't forced to look perfect. It is just exactly enough.
The Process
The path from raw material to the finished product is kept as direct as possible. If a detail doesn’t have a job to do, it’s removed. This makes the objects feel like empty vessels. They are simple enough to fit into anyone's life without demanding attention. By getting rid of the over-embellished stuff, the focus stays on how the thing actually works. It isn’t about making you crave more; it’s about providing something that is perfectly good for its task.
